Kazumasa Suda, GANKOTOSHI Limited Edition / Limited to 700 copies / Numbered

This is a photo book that compiles photographs on the theme of "eyes," as desired by Kazumasa Suda, who sadly passed away in March 2019.

One day, Mr. Kazumasa Suda proposed that I help him with a collection of works he wanted to compile into a photo book. He said that he had been noticing images of eyes in the city during his daily snaps and couldn't help but take pictures of them. He didn't know why he was taking them, but when he looked at the finished prints, he secretly felt that there was something to them. He wanted to compile them into a book and give this series a shape. I didn't even need to see the actual prints; his words were enough. I immediately agreed, saying that I would definitely hold an exhibition and publish a photo book.
