Vintage Russian ( Ukrainian) Fairytale Egg “Ruslan And Ludmila” 24-karat-gold
Art form: Russian miniature. The original lacquer artwork for this fairy-tale egg was painted by hand at Palekh by Master Artist Gleb Lubimov. Continues a 600-year tradition of miniature painting, whereby artisans use delicate, sable-tipped brushes and apply 24-karat gold, which is burnished with a wolf's tooth to achieve a mirror-like polish.
Egg is in perfect condition showing no wear at all and would display very well. Comes in the original package and all the paperwork. {See photos}
